Privacy policy for the busch+müller app

Protecting your personal data is of great importance for busch+müller. This privacy policy explains how your personal information is collected, processed, stored, used, disclosed and protected when you use the busch+müller App, available for Android and Apple phones and using Bluetooth.

1. Collecting and using data

1.1. Bluetooth use: Our App uses Bluetooth to perform certain functions, such as connecting to other devices for data exchange.

1.2. Automatically collected data: In addition to the data you may provide, we automatically collect certain information about your use of the App, such as device information, IP addresses, browser types, operating systems and date/time stamps. This information will be anonymized and used to improve the performance of the App and to diagnose technical problems.

1.3. Personal data: Currently we do not process any personal data such as email address or name via our App. Any processing of personal data will be made transparent and requires your explicit consent.

1.4. Cookies and similar technologies: We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information and improve our services. You have the option to accept or reject cookies. The rejection of cookies may limit the App’s functionality.

1.5 App store: By downloading the App, you have legitimized yourself to the respective app store via your ID. Busch+Müller cannot rule out the possibility that data collected in connection with the download or use of the application may be used in a manner that is not in compliance with the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Busch & Müller KG has no influence on this. Personal data collected by Busch & Müller KG will not be passed on to the app store.

2.1. Protective measures: We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, from loss, misuse or unjustified modification.

2.2. Data storage: We only store your personal data as long as is it necessary to provide the services unless otherwise required by law, e. g. due to statutory retention periods.

We may engage third parties (companies or individuals) to help providing our Services, to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform service-related functions on our behalf or to assist us in analysing how our App is used. These third parties have access to your data only to the extent to perform these tasks on our behalf and they are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4.2 Deleting Data: You have the right to request your data being deleted. In this case please contact our privacy department (contact details in section 5). We will fulfil your request without undue delay unless the data must be retained for compliance with legal obligations or for legitimate interests that may require otherwise.

4.3. Right to object: You have the right to refuse the processing of your data if this is based on our legitimate interests. We will cease to process your data unless we can provide compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
