In the run-up to the state elections in Saxony, Thuringia and Brandenburg, a nationwide advertising campaign was launched to promote greater tolerance and openness in society. The initiator is Dr Timm Mittelsten Scheid, a member of the shareholder family and the advisory board of the Vorwerk Group. ‘Especially in times of crisis, it is important for companies to get involved,’ Dr Mittelsten Scheid is convinced. ‘With the German Family Business Initiative, we want to set an example and motivate more companies to take a stand.’
Busch + Müller is delighted with the colourful mix of nationalities in the company – 15 to be precise – and everyone gives their best every day. ‘The origins of the people in our company are diverse. We know that it is precisely this diversity that determines the economic success of German family businesses today.
